On August 13, 2013, a group of workers at the Ocean County Vehicle Maintenance Garage in New Jersey were shocked to find out that they had just won themselves a roughly $86 million powerball. After taxes and the even distribution among the 16 of them, they wound up with $3.8 million each! But is this as good as it seems it is? After about a month and a half, many of these lower-middle class millionaires say that winning the lottery was almost a bad thing. They feel that things are almost too hectic, with "long lost family members" asking them for large sums of money along with paparazzi at their every turn. Willie Seeley, one of the "Ocean 16", says that he's miserable and overwhelmed, and that "winning the lottery was a curse". He also said that "There are days I wish we were back to just getting paid every two weeks. You have to change your whole way of life, but we didn't want to change the way we lived. We liked the way we lived." What these people end up doing with them money is up to them, but just to put this into perspective, they probably have more money than they ever would've wanted and they still don't know what to do with it.
